Fundraisers are active year-round at St. George. Some fundraisers are available all year while others are seasonal. There is always an opportunity to help out the church or one of it's organizations by purchasing tasty treats or paying your everyday expenses. GEORGE 2011 HOLY THURSDAY PHOTOGRAPHS - Three distinct 8 inch by 12 inch photographs of Holy Thursday evening service at St. George are offered for sale. This is a great way of supporting St. George while contemplating the Passion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The photographs will be available for viewing and purchase Sundays after the Divine Liturgy or during the week please call the church office to schedule an appointment at (248) 335-8869. The cost is $15 each, or $25 for 2, or $30 for all 3 photographs. LEARNING THE DIVINE LITURGY - A New Two DVD set of "Learning the Divine Liturgy" presented by our own Father Nick. Get it as a gift for friends and family - a great teaching tool for those new to the faith and a good refresher for us all. Cost $30 per set. Year-Round Fundraisers include: Philoptochos Greek Cook Books - Order your cook book for $10 or buy in bulk - 10 books for $50! Please place orders through our bookstore. Ink Cartridge Collection - Collect and return used ink cartridges to St. George. St. George will send them in to receive up to $4 per cartridge with a print head. Contact the church office at 248-335-8869 for more information. Please return all cartridges in sealed plastic bags to avoid leaking. Thank you for your support! Kroger's Community Rewards Program - We are now registered with Kroger's Community Rewards Program. Every time you shop at Kroger's, your purchases will earn dollars for our church!!! Signing up is really simple if you already have a Kroger Plus card. Simply go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com and follow the prompts for entering your personal email, a password, and finally your Kroger Plus number. Once that process is complete, you will need to click on community rewards and enter our church's Non-Profit Organization (NPO) number in the space provided. Our NPO is 84135. Once this is complete your purchases at any Kroger will automatically earn St. George a percentage back!! In fact, your register receipt will read,"At your request, Kroger is donating to The Hellenic Orthodox Community Church of St. George". This is a great way for St. George to earn much needed dollars in tough economic times!!! Thank you again for your efforts to support St. George Church!! Gordon Food Services - St. George has been enrolled with GFS (Gordon Food Services) to receive a percentage of all purchases made at ANY of their stores! Sign-up is easy. Simply take one of the forms from the Church hallway to any GFS and turn it in with your purchase. St George will receive a check from GFS quarterly. VG's Receipts - Please continue to bring VG's receipts to the church. Please put the receipts in the clear plastic box located on the table outside the office area. Thank you! Pontiac After School Program - Gourmet Nut and Coffee Sales begin in October. Gourmet Cinnamon Almonds and Buffalo Peanuts come packaged in gold decorator tins. Gourmet fresh roasted ground or whole bean coffee from Beanstro, is usually available in Colombia Supremo or flavored, regular or decaf.
